Die MBox-V ist ein Embedded PC basierend auf der Intel® Atom™ Prozessor Serie E3800 (Bay Trail-I) für Embedded Anwendungen. Die ultra-kompakte Integration der Hardware mit dem Gehäuse ermöglicht Anwendungen mit besonders kleinen Gehäusemaßen. Das Gehäuse-Design ist sehr flexibel so dass die MBox-V als Desktop-Gerät verwendet werden kann oder in Schaltschränke mit DIN-Schienenmontage integriert werden kann. Individuelles ODM-Branding (Farbe, Logo, Labelling... ) ist möglich.
Die MBox-V ist so ausgelegt, dass sie gemäß Kundenanforderungen individuell konfiguriert werden kann. Funktionalität und Schnittstellen können leicht über interne Mini PCIe Add-in Karten hinzugefügt werden. Typische Anwendungsfälle sind Embedded Server und Gateway Anwendungen, Einsteiger-PCs für Automation, Visualisierung, Überwachung und alle Anwendungen die höchste Anforderungen an Qualität, Haltbarkeit und Langzeit-Verfügbarkeit stellen. Bei der MBox-V steht das V für "Variable" Gehäusevariante.
