Das TQMa8MPxS auf Basis des i.MX 8M Plus unterstützt mit vielen Features und einer integrierten NPU (Neuronale Prozessor Unit) mit bis zu 2,3 TOPS und einer IPU (Image Prozessor Unit) mit 2x 187 MPix bei der Umsetzung von Applikationen bei denen künstliche Intelligenz, Machine Learning/Vision zum Einsatz kommen soll.
Für grafisch anspruchsvolle Anwendungen steht eine GPU und mehrere Grafikschnittstellen bereit. Für Echtzeit und Security wird die CPU von einem Cortex M7 Controller unterstützt.
